What must humanity remember in order to build a shared future?

Rebuilding Humanity asks what societies choose to preserve, what they choose to renew, and what they risk forgetting. The Educational & Community Engagement Programme carries these questions beyond the performance and into direct experience.

Developed in collaboration with the Snøhetta Foundation, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and project partners, the programme creates opportunities for learning, dialogue, and interdisciplinary exchange across generations, disciplines, and communities.

Through workshops, conversations, screenings, lectures, and embodied learning experiences, participants explore the relationship between memory, knowledge, transmission, creativity, and cultural continuity — not as abstract ideas, but as lived, shared practice.

Civilization is not inherited automatically.
Information can be stored.
Wisdom must be transmitted. 

THE PROGRAMME

Embodied Learning

Developed by Daniel Proietto and Know Nation, Embodied Learning explores the relationship between body, perception, attention, creativity, and learning.

Drawing upon artistic practice, embodied pedagogy, and contemporary research into cognition and human development, the programme investigates how physical awareness influences communication, learning, wellbeing, and collective participation. Participants may include educators, students, artists, researchers, and cultural practitioners.

Embodied Learning is a core pedagogical component of Sensing Space, the global educational programme developed by the Snøhetta Foundation and Know Nation.

The Memory Series

Developed by Know Nation and ARRA Collective, The Memory Series explores how societies preserve, interpret, transmit, and renew knowledge across generations.

Through conversations, screenings and encounters, participants examine the relationship between architecture, archives, museums, cultural heritage, performance, filmmaking, and public memory. Participants may include architects, historians, curators, artists, filmmakers, researchers, and students.

The programme aligns closely with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's mission as a centre for knowledge, research, education, and cultural dialogue.

ARRA is a Sarajevo-based research and design platform working at the intersection of architecture, urbanism, and critical spatial practice. Rooted in a city shaped by reconstruction, ARRA uses speculative and experimental methods to explore questions of rebuilding, memory, and urban change.
