Effective Date: June 2, 2025

This Service Agreement (“Agreement”) is made between Know Nation AS (“Company,” “We,” “Us”) and the Customer (“You”) upon the rental of Still Life @ Maya Hotel (the “Film”). By completing your rental purchase, you agree to the following terms:

1. RENTAL TERMS & ACCESS

Your rental of Still Life @ Maya Hotel grants you 72 hours of streaming access from the time of payment confirmation.

Access is provided via [streaming platform/link] and is available for viewing on supported devices.

The rental is for personal, non-commercial use only.

2. USAGE RIGHTS & RESTRICTIONS

You may stream the Film as many times as you like within the 72-hour rental period.

Downloading, recording, distributing, or sharing the Film is strictly prohibited.

The rental is non-transferable, meaning it cannot be shared, resold, or transferred to another user.

Any unauthorized use or violation of these terms may result in the immediate termination of access without a refund.

3. PAYMENT & REFUNDS

All rentals are final. Due to the nature of digital streaming, no refunds will be issued once access has been granted.

6. FORCE MAJEURE (UNFORESEEN EVENTS)

Know Nation AS shall not be held liable for any delay, failure, or disruption in the provision of rental services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, technical failures, cyber-attacks, strikes, or government-imposed restrictions.

7. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Norway, and any disputes shall be settled in Oslo courts.

About

Still Life @ Maya Hotel unfolds within a site marked by layered histories. Before becoming a hotel, the mountaintop structure housed a Buddhist monastery; during the Second World War, it was transformed into a military bunker and munitions store. Today, the building stands abandoned — a suspended ruin overlooking the city.

Within this environment, Øyen brings together influences from Butoh, Kabuki, contemporary theatre, and film. Movement emerges slowly, shaped by stillness and restraint, allowing the performers to inhabit a space caught between vitality and erosion.

Rather than narrating collapse, Still Life holds attention on the tension between motion and paralysis, intimacy and distance. The architecture becomes both setting and witness, carrying traces of refuge, violence, and forgetting. Through the bodies of Moriyama and Proietto, memory surfaces not as story, but as presence.
