A film by Daniel Proietto
The Fundamentals of Movement explores movement as a practice of attention, presence, and healing.
Developed as both a book and a film, the work approaches movement not as a technique to master, but as energy allowed to move freely through the body. Rooted in mindful practice, it examines how releasing tension, fear, and habitual control can open new possibilities for expression, clarity, and embodied awareness.
The film offers a direct, practical entry into the work through guided movement practice, while the book provides reflection, context, and articulation of the underlying philosophy. Designed to be experienced together, they form a unified practice grounded in perception, sensation, and lived experience.
